How to Use DISTRONIC PLUS® 

The Mercedes-Benz DISTRONIC PLUS® operates mostly like standard cruise control, and your Mercedes-Benz should already be equipped with this feature. Here is how to use the system in some easy-to-follow steps: 

1. Locate the DISTRONIC PLUS® controls on the steering column lever. 
2. Move the lever up and down to set your desired cruise speed. 
3. Press the lever hard to change the speed by five miles per hour. Otherwise, it adjusts your speed by one mile per hour. 
4. Push the lever away from your or push the brakes to shut off the cruise control setting. 
5. Pull the lever towards you to continue the last set speed. 
6. To adjust the following distance of the vehicle in front of you, use the knob at the end of the lever. The distance will appear on the center screen. 
7. If traffic stops in front of you, then the DISTRONIC PLUS® feature will stop your car. If the stop lasts longer than three seconds, then you can resume the system by pushing the gas pedal or pulling the lever towards you. 

Consult your owner’s manual for more information, but keep in mind that this system should only be used on the highway while driving through Hamilton.
