How to Use Mercedes-Benz Brake Hold

March 26th, 2019 by

When traffic brings you to a stop, the Mercedes-Benz Brake Hold function allows you to remain safely at a stop without keeping your foot on the brake. This clever feature is included in many of the latest models at our Princeton Mercedes-Benz dealership.

Simply press down fully on the brake when at a complete stop and wait for the “HOLD” icon to appear in the instrument cluster. When you’re ready to get going, simply press the accelerator pedal like normal and Brake Hold will automatically release.

This smart feature takes some of the the work out of driving, particularly when driving in city or stop-and-go traffic. It’s important to note, though, that Brake Hold is not intended to serve as a parking brake. When parking or exiting the vehicle, be sure to put your vehicle in park as your normally would.

Ready for the convenience you deserve behind the wheel? Then it’s time to contact Mercedes-Benz of Princeton by calling (609) 910-5826 to schedule a test drive.
