What is the proper tire pressure for your Mercedes-Benz vehicle? The proper tire pressure for your model should be listed on the inside of your vehicle’s fuel door. The precise Mercedes-Benz tire pressure guidelines will vary from model to model, but the vast majority of passenger vehicles perform best when their tire pressure falls between 32 and 35 PSI.

How to Check Your Tire Pressure

If you have a tire pressure gauge, you can find one in our parts center. Then, you can manually check your tire pressure by inserting the gauge into the valve stem. Although a gauge can’t tell you what the proper Mercedes-Benz A 220 tire pressure should be, it’s a good tool to have.

In most cases for Princeton drivers, you won’t need manual tire pressure checks. All new Mercedes-Benz vehicles come equipped with a Tire Pressure Monitoring System that will alert you if your pressure is too high or too low. If the TPMS light pops up on your dashboard, head to Mercedes-Benz of Princeton service center or public air compressor for a top off.

When Should You Check Your Tire Pressure?

If you are going to check your tire pressure, do it in the morning prior to driving. Driving your vehicle heats up the air in your tires and causes them to expand. In some cases, this could cause a false reading. If your tire pressure light comes on in the morning and turns off during the afternoon, only to reappear the next day, this is almost certainly the issue. Mercedes-Benz correct tire pressure guidelines should be sufficient to get you through any season. It is worth noting that cold weather can cause the air in your tires to contract. Keep this in mind the next time winter rolls around in Hamilton and Mercer County.
